The Gavin Herbert Eye Institute is pleased to offer a Diversity Visiting Student Scholarship for visiting students in need of financial assistance to attend our ophthalmology clerkships and research activities

Ophthalmology Experience Diversity Scholarship

For: Undergraduate students in their junior or senior year

Type: Research with ½ day a week as a clinical observer

Duration: 4-8 weeks

Stipend: $2,500/4 weeks

No. of scholarships available: 2 per academic year

Residents

Research Diversity Scholarship

For: Medical Students in their first or second year

Duration: 8 weeks (Summer)

Stipend: $5,000

No. of scholarships available: 2 per academic year

Researcher in Lab

Clinical Diversity Scholarship

For: Medical Students in their third year

Apply to:  the UCI Ophthalmology Elective 650A through the VSLO website (clinical rotation only)

Duration: 4 weeks

Stipend: $2,500

No. of scholarships available: 2 per academic year

Deadline to apply: November 1, 2023
