Medical Students

UCI Gavin Herbert Eye Institute and the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences offer an elective to introduce third- and fourth-year medical students to the clinical diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders, as well as to the subspecialties of retina, glaucoma, pediatrics, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics, uveitis and cornea.

Residency

UCI Gavin Herbert Eye Institute’s and Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences residency program offers intensive, wide-ranging clinical and surgical experience, as well as opportunities to conduct meaningful research.

Fellowships

UCI Gavin Herbert Eye Institute and Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences offers fellowship training to well-qualified physicians in the subspecialties of cornea, glaucoma and retina. These selective programs emphasize both clinical training and research.
