Current Residents Home Education Current Residents Residency Program Director Dr. Lu has been on the residency and retina fellowship selection committee at UCI's Gavin Herbert Eye Institute since 2010, helping to select numerous bright residents and fellows. She started her position as the ophthalmology residency program director in 2020, and prior to that, she was the associate program director for 5 years. Dr. Lu believes knowledge, passion, and compassion are the most important qualities of a great mentor.
